Day 5: Friday 26th April 2007
We had decided that as it was Paul’s last night we would have some friends round so we could have a more adult evening than the night before. We invited our friends Jill and Dave around. We also invited my brother Gerard. It was a good mix of people. Jill runs the history of art department at queens and Dave Lectures German at Queens. Gerard is a writer, so there was plenty of food for thought at the dinner table. I was really pleased to see Jill and Dave. Meabh and I often find it hard to see our friends in the evening time because we have a child. So it was nice to have them round for some food. We spent the evening eating, talking and having a small drink. It was really pleasant. It was also a great antidote to the sugar come down I had been suffering all day after the previous evenings dietary antics.
